SIMPSON, Arthur J., Jr., age 88, of Oradell. Passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. Former Assignment Judge (Bergen, Camden & Gloucester Counties) and Acting Administrative Director of the NJ Courts. Retired as judge of Superior Court of NJ, Appellate Division, and as Counsel to Winne, Banta, Hetherington & Basralian, P.C. Veteran of World War II (U.S. Army Air Corps) and Korean War (U.S. Army), retired as Colonel in U.S. Army Reserve after 36 years of total service. Graduate of Townsend Harris H.S. (New York, NY), CCNY (BBA), Columbia Law School (JD), University of Virginia Law School (LLM), U.S. Army Command & General Staff College and U.S. Army War College. Born in Philadelphia on May 6, 1926, to Arthur J., Sr., and Gladys F. (née Wehrly). Predeceased by brothers Russell Warren Simpson and Barton Beechler Temes. Survived by wife of 62 years Marian (Mary) (née Stevens) and daughters Linda Simpson Ettinger (John), Nancy Simpson Walsh (Dennis) and son Arthur J., III (Catherine Ellard). Also survived by grandchildren Katharine, John and William Ettinger, Kaitlyn and Connor Walsh and Katy Simpson. Relatives and friends may call at William G.
