Colletti, Louis passed away peacefully at his home in Westwood on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the age of 70, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Joan for 42 years. Much loved father of Christopher, Nicholas and his wife Lauren, and faithful dog Chilli. Brother of Joseph. Lou grew up in Brooklyn NY, and was a graduate of the School of Visual Arts. As a Vietnam veteran, he served in the U.S. Army. Lou worked as an Art Director for 35 years and was honored with a Clio Award. In recent years, Lou worked as a security guard for Hackensack University Medical Center. An artist, Lou enjoyed sketching, oil painting and charcoal drawing. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. Funeral mass will be offered at St. Peter the Apostle Church in River Edge at 10:30 AM. Cremation will be private. Lou lived every day with a sense of joy and gratitude; his generous spirit will be remembered.

BONAVITA, AMERICO “RICK”, Passed peacefully on October 23, 2014 with his family by his side at the age of 86. Longtime resident of Oradell (56 years). Served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1953. Metlife Sale Rep since 1953 and Member of the MetLife Hall of Fame. He and his son Gary Bonavita were the first father/son duo to achieve President’s Council in the same year at Metlife. Active with the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation. Avid Golfer and member of Hackensack Golf Club. Born and raised to parents Philomena and Antonio Bonavita in Newark, New Jersey with brothers Peter Bonavita – wife Ann, Ugo Bonavita – wife Angela (deceased); and Daniel Bonavita (deceased). Graduated Central High School in 1946 and Seton Hall University in 1951. Married to Josephine Bonavita for 63 years. Their four jewels – children Barbara Eiszner – husband Jim; Gary Bonavita – wife Annie; Gregory Bonavita – wife Carol; and David Bonavita who died at age 10 from Cooley’s Anemia. Grandfather to Nicole, Jim (fiancée Laura), Richard (wife Jessica), Bryony, Morgan, Madison, Gregory, Jennifer, Daniel and David. Great Grandfather to Devon. GUDZOWSKY Jurij (George), of Fair Lawn and Toms River, passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2014, with his family at his side.Born in Lanskroun, Ukraine, George lived in Australia and England before moving to the U.S. with his beloved wife, Lilo, in 1960. George was a proud retiree of the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah and a retired advertising sales rep for Kaeser & Blair, Inc. An avid reader and chess player, he played in many NJ chess clubs throughout his life. George’s greatest joy was his family: devoted husband of 55 years to Lilo; loving father to Nina and Dominic Bianco, and Nicole; caring grandfather to Marcus Bianco, Christina and Mark Forwood, and Gina Bianco. Vanig V.,Hagopian, 92 of Toms River,NJ, and formerly of Bergenfield, NJ, passed away on January 14, 2015. He was born in Teaneck, NJ, on April 21, 1922 to Sahag and Haiganoosh Hagopian. He served in the Army Air Force in World War II, 1942-1946. During that time, he studied at Casey Jones School of Aero-nautics, Lafayette College, and Yale University. After leaving the service, he worked as a photoengraver in New York City until his retirement. He met Alice Catchouny at an AYF dance before the war. They married in September, 1944. Alice and her mother had taken a train from New Jersey to California, where Alice and Vanig were married in San Bernardino. During the remainder of his service, they lived in Utah, North Carolina, Colorado, and Alabama as well as California. Their daughter Sona was born in 1946, and Susan in 1949, after they moved to Bergenfield. In Bergenfield, they were active in clubs and sports, and en-joyed the company of many friends and family. They were among the founders of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church in Ridgefield. They enjoyed much time at the Jer-sey shore, especially at their beach house in Lavallette. In 1985, Vanig and Alice retired to Toms River, where they be-came active in their new community. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard, and by his daughter Susan Hagopian Baskin. He is sur-vived by Alice Catchouny Hagopian, his wife of 70 years, his daughter Sona Stork and son-in-law Daniel Stork of Joshua Tree, California, grand-son Joshua Baskin and his wife Ariella of Jerusalem, Israel, grandson Michael Baskin of Cambridge, Massachusetts, son-in-law Alan Baskin of Co-ronado, California, and great-grandchildren Maya, Shiran, and Eitan Baskin of Jerusalem, Israel. He is also survived by sister-in-law Arax Sarajian, nephews Richard Sarajian and Kenneth Sarajian, nieces Carol Sarajian Kennelly, Patricia Catchouny, and Amy Catchouny, and seven grand nephews and a grand niece. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 5 PM with visitation from 3-5 PM at the Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Rd, Oradell, NJ 07649. Marion Claire Vajay, 87, Washington Township, Passed January 14, 2015, peacefully at home . She was a loving wife of 54 years to Istvan (Steve) Vajay. She is survived by her husband, daughter and grandchildren. She was a wonderful giving woman friend to many and loved by all. She lived her life one day at a time focusing on the the simple things she loved knitting a scarf, eating good food or getting lost in the pages of a wonderful book. Mildred O’Leary, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2015 at the age of 94. She lived most of her life in Clifton before moving to New Milford to be with her family. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Daniel. She is survived by her loving daughter Barbara and her husband Fred, her two grandchildren Daniel and his wife Jenn and Michele, her step-grandchildren Denise and Freddy and her two great-grandchildren Ryan and Joseph. Laura Fricke-Krage, passed peacefully with her family by her side on January 23 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 57 years old and a lifelong resident of Emerson. She is the daughter of the late Jack and Charlotte Fricke the original owners of Fricke’s Old Hook Inn in Emerson. “Lulu” had worked with her siblings in their parent’s restaurant for many years. She will always be remembered for her good heart, warm smile, gentle and caring nature. Laura is survived by her son Henry Krage and his fiancée Caitlin Posniewski, her siblings, William Fricke (her twin), Jack Fricke Jr., Diane Jaramillo and her fiancé Thomas Wanner and Louisa Catherman and her husband Robert. Hank was a graduate of Seton Hall University class of1965.While at Seton Hall he was class president and president of the student council. He had owned and operated the Cornucopia,a gourmet food and catering business in Oradell. At the Cornucopia everyone was his friend while sharing his wit and wisdom; they also had the best food, including his outstanding chicken salad. Henry was the loving and beloved husband of Merianne for 34 years. He is the proud father of Todd and Christopher, dear cousin of Marian Meyers, uncle of Susan and Louis,brother- in- law of Madalen Trocolar and good friend to many. He was predeceased by his brother Louis. He will have religious services 11 am Thursday at the William G.Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road Oradell. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9. Among the many things Henry will be remembered for are the pride he had in his French heritage,his unwavering kindness, and the respect he showed to all.

John B. “Jack,” a longtime resident of Oradell and Rochelle Park passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 6, 2015 at the age of 88. Jack was born and raised in Teaneck. He fought in WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was predeceased by his wife Trudy in 1973. Jack was the cherished father of twin girls Nancy Shelley, husband George and Kathy Case, husband Paul. Longtime, loving companion to Catherine Twiddy. The great joys in his life were his grandchildren Trudy, Eddie, George, Erica, Megin and Leo; great-grandchildren Vanessa, Isaac, Brendan, Kyle, Gabriel and Jayden.
