Margaret Linnea Amundsen, a resident of River Edge for 53 years, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at her home on April 6, with her husband by her side. Mrs. Amundsen was a bookkeeper with the Bergen Record prior to retiring. She was a founding member of Starfish, serving for 33 years. Marge was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, church council member, lector, Grace Guild member and prayer shawl ministry. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Reidar. Loving mother of David Amundsen and his wife Christine and Linnea Cecere and her husband Louis. Dear sister of Eric Hagberg. Proud grandmother of Louis, Matthew and Christianna Cecere. Visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at William G. Basralian Funeral Home 559 Kinderkamack Road Oradell. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 925 Fifth Ave., River Edge on Thursday at 11am. Interment following George Washington Memorial Park Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to animal humane associations.
