BERWER, ERNA (nee Wegner), 96 of Teaneck formerly of Poland died on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Paul F. Berwer (1986) Devoted mother of Karl. Dear Aunt of Peter Roll, Otto Wegner, Edmund Wegner and Christa Stahlmann and cousin of Alice Clark.
Erna was a homemaker; she managed a bakery in her native Poland before fleeing the country to Germany after WW II then immigrated to the US in 1952. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Teaneck and the AARP.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. Service from the funeral home 10:00 am Wednesday then to Grace Lutheran Church, Teaneck for an 11:00 am Funeral Service. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
