O’Neill Richard T. age 55 of Dumont, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday June 1st after a courageous battle with cancer. Richard was born in Hoboken N. J. to John and the late Virginia O’Neill (nee Taylor). For the past five years Richard has lovingly cared for his now 100 year old father. Prior to that he was employed by Kuiken Brothers in Emerson. Richard is survived by his father John of Dumont, his sister Margaret “Peggy” O’Brien and her former husband Daniel, both of Emerson and his beloved niece and nephew Virginia “Ginny” and Timothy from Emerson. Visiting will be on Tuesday June 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm at William G. Basralian Funeral Home 559 Kinderkamack Road Oradell. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday June 4 th , 10:00am at Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park , followed by burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Tenafly. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research in Richard’s name.
