Pimienta, Robert “Bob” age 52 a resident of Franklin Lakes died Sunday, July 22, 2012. Devoted father of Tiffany Pimienta. Dear brother of John Pimienta and his wife Judy. Loving uncle of Sara Hamilton, and Jaclyn, Jasmin and Julia Pimienta. Bob was predeceased by his loving parents, Haydee and Gonzalo Pimienta, Sr. as well as his brother Gonzalo Pimienta, Jr. Bob was the President and a Commissioner of the New Jersey Real Estate Commission, and was appointed by then Governor James McGreevey in June of 2003. Bob was reappointed as a Commissioner in 2007 by Governor Jon Corzine and appointed again by Governor Christopher Christie in 2009. Bob served as President of the Commission since he was first appointed. Since October of 1997, Bob served as a United States Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court. Bob was appointed Trustee by the United States Department of Justice to protect and liquidate assets for the benefit of creditors. Bob served as President of Impact Realty Associates, Inc. and Impact Development Company, Inc., both of which he founded in 1994. Located in Hackensack, New Jersey, the Impact Companies provide complete real estate services specializing in the development of public and private partnerships and are highly regarded among the state’s leading authorities on real estate. The Impact Companies’ prestigious client roster includes the County of Bergen, the City of Hackensack, Bergen County Technical Schools, Bergen County Board of Social Services, Hudson County Technical Schools, the City of Jersey City and Skymark Town Center in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Bob’s command of municipal bond issues, including Redevelopment Area Bond Financing and financing through lease Certificate of Participation (COPS), Revenue Allocation District incentives and long term tax abatement programs (including PILOTS), Urban Enterprise Zone incentives, Brownfield Redevelopment programs, Economic Redevelopment and Growth Grants, Urban Redevelopment Grants and New Jersey Smart Building programs benefitted his list of blue ribbon clients. Among Bob’s more widely known projects are Hackensack Retail Commercial Center, Hackensack, NJ; Maywood Retail Commercial Center, Maywood, NJ; St. Josephs Regional Medical Center – Garage & Retail, Paterson, NJ; and Skymark Town Center, Ridgefield Park, NJ. An active member of the community, Bob was Founder and Chairman of IMPACT PAC, a political action committee which works with individuals, candidates and political parties who represent New Jersey with integrity. Mr. Pimienta also served on the Board of Trustees of the Foundation of the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, and was an Executive Board member for the Gift of Life America Fund, which provides financial support to Bergen County’s most needy children. Bob was an active member of the New Jersey Association of Realtors and the Eastern Bergen County Board of Realtors. Bob received an Award of Appreciation and Gratitude from the Hackensack Police PBA Local 9 and was also honored as the Business Person of the Year by the State Troopers Coalition, National Police Defense Foundation and NPDF Executive Board. Bob received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in 1984 after serving his country for 6 years. Prior to that, Bob studied Real Estate, Financing, Environmental Impacts and Business Management at Rutgers University, Fairleigh Dickinson University and Bergen County Community College. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday 1-4 & 6-9PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell. A funeral service will begin on Friday at 10AM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home. All are invited to arrive at 9AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
