Zaven Poosikian (1928 – 2014). On March 15th, 2014, we lost an extraordinary man, Zaven Poosikian: beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfa-ther. Son of the late Kohareg and Vahram Poosikian, Zaven was born in Teaneck, NJ and raised his family in Demarest, NJ. A loving husband, Zaven shared his life with his wife, Elise, for 61 years. Brother of Zarah Poosikian and the late Alice Kademian. Zaven was deeply devoted to his family and is al-so survived by his children: Christine Heinlen and her hus-band Rodd, Robin Kasparian and her husband Levon, Glenn Poosikian and his wife Stacey, and his five grandchildren: Luke, Ani, Nina, Taylor, and Devin, who brought much joy and happiness to his life. Zaven served in the National Guard. He was the proprietor of Biltmore Tuxedos in Para-mus Park, serving Bergen County for decades. Zaven was dedicated to St. Thomas Arme-nian Church: served on the Parish Council, was an active member of the Men’s Club, helped establish the church bowling league, organized and ran the fruit sale and car raffle fundraising events, and honor-ed as “Man of the Year.” The football Giants and Yankees have lost one of their most loy-al fans. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 19th from 4-8 PM at St. Leon Armenian Church, 12-61 Sad-dle River Rd., Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Funeral Service will al-so be held at St. Leon Armeni-an Church on Thursday,March 20th at 10 AM.
