CERBONE, Vincent F., age 87 of Teaneck, NJ passed away at home on Friday, April 26, 2013. Devoted father of Elena, Edward, Frank and Christopher. Loving grandfather of Rebecca, Jessica, Kristin and Rachel. Vincent was a much-loved, well-respected, Jersey City teacher and Assistant Principal for 40 years. His first love was music. Vin played drums through a 70-year career. His first “gig” was at 15 … to help put food on the table during the Depression. He was always there for his family; a modest man of few words but with strong, loving support. He will always be our quiet hero. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Wednesday from 3-8 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 AM and then to Holy Trinity RCC, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack, NJ for an 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Hackensack Cemetery.
