Monteferrario, Sandra Ann (Boose), 67, passed away March 29, 2013 in Boca Raton, FL after a courageous fight with cancer. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, John, her children Todd Monteferrario and Tracey (Mark) Rubenstein and her cherished grandchildren, Daniella and Tessa, her sister Mariam (Bob) Langer of Greensboro, NC, and brother Tom (Abbe) Boose of Hillsboro, GA. Sandy began working at Bergen-Passaic Transport Service in 1967 shortly after her wedding and worked there for the next 35 years. After retiring in 2002, she and John lived in Florida where she continued to work hard at scoring 5 hole-in-ones, winning 5 Ladies Golf Club Championships, 3 Governor’s Cups, and numerous other tournaments. She also found time to restart her art career, painting and exhibiting at her first art show in 2008. Friends and family are invited for visitation on Friday at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, NJ from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will begin on Saturday at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
