Connor, Mary A., age 88, of Leonia died Friday, January 18. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Connor. Devoted mother of Lee Connor, Pamela Osborn and her husband Colin, Tricia Eickelberg and her husband Bill, Ty Connor, and Kacey Morris and her husband Ted. Loving grandmother of Christina Osborn, Kelly Ann Buckley, Tom and Betsy Eickelberg, and Katrina, Michaela, and Anna Morris. Dear sister of David MacMichael, JoAnn Marsh and Charles MacMichael. A lifelong Leonia resident and educator, Mary was the librarian at Leonia High School for 25 years. She furthered her commitment to education as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Leonia Public Library, where she served as Board President for many years and most recently volunteered in the history room, and as a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. As a lover of the arts, Mary offered her time to the Leonia Arts alliance, Preserving Leonia’s Heritage, and was a member of the Leonia Player’s Guild for over 60 years. Also a lifelong parishioner of St. John’s Parish in Leonia, she served as a lector during Sunday Mass. Mary treasured her summers with her family and friends at Lake Dunmore in Vermont. A funeral mass will be held Monday, January 21, at 10 a.m. at St. John’s RCC in Leonia. ALL TO MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
